Job Description

Providing technical support to internal staff or external clients/customers. This can involve troubleshooting technical issues, providing guidance on using hardware or software, and resolving problems efficiently.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Technical Support: Providing technical support to internal staff or external clients/customers. This can involve troubleshooting technical issues, providing guidance on using hardware or software, and resolving problems efficiently.

  • Maintenance and Repair: Overseeing the maintenance and repair of technical equipment, machinery, or systems. This could include scheduling regular maintenance, conducting inspections, and coordinating repairs when necessary.

  • System Administration: Managing and maintaining computer systems, networks, and servers. This involves tasks such as installing and configuring software, monitoring system performance, and ensuring security protocols are followed.

  • Quality Control: Ensuring that technical products or services meet quality standards. This may involve conducting quality checks, performing tests, and identifying areas for improvement.

  • Training and Documentation: Providing training to staff or users on technical processes, systems, or equipment. Additionally, creating and maintaining documentation such as manuals, guides, and procedures to assist users and support ongoing operations.


  • Research and Development: Staying up-to-date with advancements in technology relevant to the organization's operations. This may involve researching new technologies, evaluating their potential benefits, and making recommendations for adoption or implementation.

  • Project Management: Leading or participating in technical projects from conception to completion. This could involve tasks such as planning, resource allocation, tracking progress, and ensuring project goals are met on time and within budget.

  • Compliance and Regulation: Ensuring that technical operations and systems comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. This may involve conducting audits, implementing security measures, and keeping abreast of changes in regulations.

  • Troubleshooting and Problem-solving: Identifying and resolving technical problems efficiently to minimize downtime and disruptions to operations. This requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to think critically under pressure.

  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborating with colleagues, clients, vendors, and other stakeholders to achieve technical objectives. Effective communication skills are essential for conveying technical information clearly and building productive working relationships.

Qualifications and Competencies

  • Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Clinical Medicine or a degree in public health, social sciences

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience implementing malaria and child survival and maternal programs.

  • Proven experience in training and mentorship of health care workers on malaria and child survival especially new-born care program areas.

  • Previous work with development agencies, NGOs.


  • proven experience in the planning and implementation of communicable disease control/malaria control interventions, behavior change communication initiatives/health education, health worker trainings and supportive supervision of health workers.

  • Demonstrable Experience in capacity building/ transferring of skills in MNC services.

  • Experience in working closely with local government.

  • Experience in developing work plans and activity budgets and in following work plans with minimal supervision.
