Shree Sahajanand School, Uganda (SSSU) is a modern co-educational day learning institution offering pre-primary, primary, and secondary schooling to children on the National Curriculum.
Situated in the heart of Kampala City at Bukoto, Nakawa Division, SSSU is strategically built in a quiet and secure residential area on a 30-acre Shree Swaminarayan Complex.
We operate under the auspices of Shree Kutchi Leva Patel Samaj (SKLPS) Uganda, and Shree Kutch Satsang Swaminarayan Temple (SKSST, Kampala. The school is incorporated as Shree Sahajanand School in the year 2022.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Curriculum Development: Develop and implement curriculum materials, lesson plans, and instructional resources for teaching business studies topics aligned with curriculum standards and educational objectives.

  • Instruction: Teach business concepts, theories, principles, and practices to students through lectures, discussions, case studies, simulations, and hands-on activities.

  • Assessment and Evaluation: Design and administer assessments (e.g., quizzes, tests, projects, presentations) to evaluate student understanding and proficiency in business studies. Provide feedback to students to support their learning and growth.

  • Real-world Applications: Integrate real-world examples, current events, and case studies from the business world into the curriculum to illustrate theoretical concepts and demonstrate practical applications.

  • Financial Literacy: Teach financial literacy skills, including budgeting, saving, investing, understanding credit, and managing personal finances, to prepare students for financial independence and responsible decision-making.

  • Entrepreneurship Education: Foster entrepreneurial mindset and skills by teaching students about business startup, innovation, opportunity recognition, business planning, marketing strategies, and risk management.

  • Business Ethics: Facilitate discussions on business ethics, corporate social responsibility, sustainability, and ethical decision-making in business contexts to promote ethical awareness and responsible citizenship.

  • Career Guidance: Provide career guidance, counseling, and exploration opportunities to help students explore potential career paths in business, identify their interests and strengths, and plan their educational and career goals.

  • Extracurricular Activities: Organize or supervise business-related extracurricular activities such as business clubs, entrepreneurship competitions, stock market simulations, and field trips to local businesses.

  • Professionalism: Demonstrate professionalism in all interactions with students, colleagues, parents, and community members. Uphold ethical standards, maintain confidentiality, and adhere to school policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Competencies

  • Education: A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field is typically required. Some institutions may prefer candidates with a master's degree, especially for teaching at the high school or college level.

  • Teaching Certification: Many jurisdictions require teachers to obtain a teaching certification or license to teach in public schools. This often involves completing a teacher education program with a focus on business education and passing relevant exams.

  • Experience: While not always required, having teaching or professional experience in the business field can strengthen a candidate's application. Experience working in business, finance, marketing, or related industries provides valuable real-world insights to share with students.

  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary for effectively teaching business studies and interacting with students, colleagues, and parents/guardians.

  • Technology Skills: Familiarity with educational technology tools, such as multimedia presentations, business simulation software, financial analysis tools, and online learning platforms, can enhance teaching and learning in the business studies classroom.

  • Analytical Skills: Business studies teachers should possess strong analytical and critical thinking skills to analyze business case studies, interpret financial statements, evaluate market trends, and solve business problems.

  • Ethical Awareness: Understanding of ethical principles and social responsibility in business practices is important for teaching business ethics and guiding students in making ethical business decisions.

  • Continuing Education: Engaging in ongoing professional development activities, such as workshops, seminars, conferences, and industry certifications, is important for staying updated on current trends, regulations, and best practices in the business field.

  • Background Check: Depending on the institution and location, a background check may be required to ensure the safety of students.
