Job Description
Job Title: Swimming Pool Supervisor (Operation and Maintenance)

Duty Station: Lugazi, Uganda
Purpose of the Role
The Swimming Pool Supervisor is responsible for the safe, efficient and hygienic operation and maintenance of the corporate/guest‑house swimming pool(s) at the SCOUL estate. This includes oversight of water quality, mechanical equipment (pumps/filtration/heating/lighting), pool environment (decking, furniture, cleanliness), lifeguard/attendant staff (if any), user safety, and ensuring compliance with local health & safety and environmental regulations. The aim is to provide a high‑quality, safe recreational swimming facility for staff and/or guests while optimising cost and maintenance.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience in swimming pool maintenance and operations
Proven track record in maintaining residential, commercial or institutional pools
Technical Skills
Expertise in water chemistry testing and balancing pH, chlorine, alkalinity, etc
Knowledge of pool filtration systems, pumps, heaters, and chlorinators
Ability to identify and troubleshoot leaks, clogs, and equipment malfunctions
Familiarity with automated pool systems and controls
Certifications: Valid certification in Pool Maintenance or Pool Operator Training (e g , CPO -Certified Pool Operator) and Basic electrical and plumbing knowledge preferred
General Requirements
Experience in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards
Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays if required
Good communication and teamwork abilities
Minimum Qualification: Diploma in relevant field
References:
At least two professional references from previous employers in similar roles Remunerations: will commensurate with experience and qualifications.
