Job Description
Job Title: Supervisor – Technical Inventory

Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda
Reports to: Warehouse & Logistics Manager
The Supervisor Technical inventory is a crucial role that oversees the technical inventory of the company to ensure efficiency and accuracy within the supply chain. The role requires supervision and coordinating activities in the technical warehouse unit. The ideal candidate should possess an understanding of telecom and related equipment as well as automation proficiency with a methodical approach to inventory management. The role demands a balance of analytical skills and practical knowledge of inventory systems.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Compliance to all applicable policies of the organisation not limited to the Supply Chain Policy and Warehouse Policies & Procedures.
Monitor and co-ordinate with the relevant Managers to ensure accuracy in inventory stock levels management.
Oversee receipt and issuance of stock and equipment delivered to the warehouse.
Execute and introduce warehouse optimisation initiatives
Physical and system issuance and receipt of stock/equipment in the different warehouses
Ensure that all material is correctly received, stored, issued and controlled in Warehouse locations.
Maintain high levels of stock accuracy for both serialized and tagged stock.
Conduct stock counts in collaboration with independent stock count teams.
Conduct verification of equipment inspections with technicians or other teams for quality purposes.
Maintains high level of safety and housekeeping standards within areas of responsibility.
Responsible for effective access control and security measures to prevent theft or pilferage.
Operating material handling equipment is of added advantage.
Accurate document control and administration.
Responsible for the accurate update of stock movement on the system and applicable documents.
Provide timely/daily reports on stock availability for forecast planning.
Generates accurate replenishment requisitions for inventory.
Report slow moving stock for investigation.
Scanning of all returned devices and equipment
Coordinate regular inventory audits
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field (Business Administration, Procurement/ purchasing, Logistics) or equivalent.
Work Experience
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role of a large organization .
Proven work experience in inventory management of technology equipment or similar role
Good understanding of supply chain procedures
Working knowledge of inventory management software and computer proficiency
Skills and ability to operate warehouse equipment like a forklift is of added advantage.
Skills / physical competencies:
Practical knowledge of inventory management systems & automation skills
Capability to handle physically demanding tasks where required.
Customer Centricity
Great interpersonal skills
