Job Description
The Store Manager will be responsible for leading a team to achieve sales targets while controlling operational expenses and minimizing stock losses. They will implement visual merchandising standards, foster a high-performance culture, and ensure excellent customer service. This role requires strong people management skills and a hands-on approach to all store functions. The Store Manager will act as the brand ambassador within the community and provide a pleasant shopping experience for customers while aligning with TFG’s values and business goals.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Drive sales and ensure the achievement of store turnover targets
Control operational expenses within budgetary limits
Manage stock losses to ensure shrinkage remains within company standards
Lead and develop staff through recruitment, training, performance management, and employee relations
Execute visual merchandising strategy and ensure adherence to in-store standards
Deliver exceptional customer service aligned with company strategy
Monitor store operations and resolve any customer concerns promptly
Report on store performance and recommend areas for improvement
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
A valid Matric certificate (Grade 12)
Minimum of 3 years of retail experience
At least 1 year of experience in a store leadership or supervisory role
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Passionate about customer service and sales
Results-oriented and driven to exceed goals
Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced retail environment
