Job Description
The successful candidate will play a key role in driving product sales by developing strategic business partnerships and delivering the Discovery Health value proposition to financial advisors and intermediaries. The role involves project management of new business, tracking and follow-ups, preparing quotations, resolving queries, and providing technical product support and training. It also requires market analysis and participation in proactive marketing and sales initiatives.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Drive sales of Discovery Health products through superior client service and technical expertise.
Build and maintain strong business relationships with intermediary stakeholders.
Manage the full new business process lifecycle from initiation to implementation.
Analyze intermediary trends and generate reports.
Prepare and issue quotations.
Provide technical training and ongoing product support to financial advisors.
Stay up to date with competitor offerings and industry developments.
Participate in marketing and sales campaigns.
Resolve escalated queries and troubleshoot effectively.
Deliver Discovery Health’s value proposition consistently.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Qualifications:
Business degree (advantageous)
RE5 certificate (preferred)
NQF Level 5 in Wealth Management or Financial Planning / 120 FAIS credits (preferred)
Proficiency in MS Office Suite
Experience:
3–5 years’ experience in the medical scheme industry (required)
Experience in the financial services industry (advantageous)
Adviser consulting experience (advantageous)
Competencies and Personal Attributes:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and under pressure
Strong business acumen and sales orientation
