Job Description
Based in Nairobi, the Stock Controller will oversee assigned stores and warehouses, ensuring effective inventory control and timely service to various Outreach clinics. Responsibilities include receiving and verifying deliveries, managing stock levels, minimizing expiries, maintaining accurate records, and coordinating with procurement and finance for timely invoice processing. The role also involves enforcing stock handling standards such as First Expired First Out (FEFO), participating in regular stock counts, and ensuring proper storage conditions.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Manage assigned warehouse/sub-store inventory
Service material requests and ensure timely and accurate issuance of items
Maintain accurate records of stock movements in the system
Organize and stack items safely and accessibly
Monitor and notify procurement on low stock items
Recommend restocking quantities
Receive and inspect goods from vendors per Purchase Orders
Verify and forward invoices to Finance for processing
Maintain minimum stock levels and monitor item expiry
Participate in quarterly stock counts
Ensure proper documentation of daily temperature logs (for storage and refrigeration areas)
Apply FEFO in all stock handling
Identify and report obsolete or slow-moving inventory
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Purchasing and Supply Management or related field
Membership in CIPS, CILT, or KISM is an added advantage
Minimum of 2 years' relevant work experience in a similar role
Strong customer service orientation
Ability to work in a team and handle physically demanding tasks (e.g., lifting boxes)
Knowledge and experience in warehousing and inventory systems
Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks
