Job Description
The Site Acquisition Lead oversees the full lifecycle of identifying and acquiring sites for electric vehicle infrastructure development. This includes conducting market surveys, evaluating power connectivity, negotiating land deals, coordinating with local authorities, ensuring legal compliance, and managing acquisition timelines and documentation. The role is strategic, involving frequent interaction with landowners, brokers, government agencies, and internal teams to support the company's expansion goals across multiple regions in Kenya.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Identify and source optimal locations for electric vehicle charging and swap stations
Conduct E-mobility market research to support site planning
Assess power connectivity suitability at proposed sites
Manage acquisition negotiations with landowners and brokers
Oversee site inspections and feasibility assessments
Ensure compliance with zoning laws, permits, and local regulations
Collaborate with government agencies and community stakeholders
Maintain detailed site records and prepare acquisition progress reports
Manage acquisition project timelines and budgets
Coordinate internal and external communications on site matters
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Purchasing and Supplies Management, or Business Management
2–3 years’ experience in site acquisition, expansion, or franchise development
High-level negotiation and stakeholder management skills
Familiarity with regional business and regulatory environments
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities
Ability to work independently and within a cross-functional team
Strong attention to detail and quality standards compliance
