Job Description
The Social Work A2 will identify and provide solutions to psychosocial cases, advocate for clients’ access to essential resources, and coordinate sponsor activities in wards. The role includes educating patients and their relatives on condition management, facilitating social reintegration of vulnerable patients, organizing support initiatives, and serving as a link between healthcare providers, patients, and sponsors. The position requires strong interpersonal and organizational skills and a commitment to client advocacy and psychosocial care.

Identify psychosocial cases and collaborate on appropriate solutions.
Manage all departmental supplies and social services equipment.
Submit monthly social activity reports to supervisors.
Advocate for clients’ access to well-being resources.
Coordinate activities of sponsors in health wards.
Educate patients and relatives for behavior change and condition management.
Organize International Patients’ Day events and manage support packages.
Lead social reintegration efforts for abandoned and invalid patients through home visits.
Act as a liaison between healthcare providers, sponsors, and patients.
Perform any other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Minimum Qualifications:
Advanced Diploma or A2 in Social Work or Sociology (no experience required).
Diploma (A1) in Social Work (no experience required).
Key Competencies and Skills:
Decision-making and problem-solving skills
Time management and results orientation
Fluency in Kinyarwanda, and English and/or French (all three is an added advantage)
Digital literacy
Understanding of human relationships and the Rwandan health system
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Integrity, cooperation, and adaptability
Social orientation and advocacy skills
