Enabel in Uganda is seeking to recruit dynamic and competent individuals to fill 3 vacancies for the position of Skills Development Officer based in Kampala, Jinja and Arua Offices.
The Skills Development Officer will oversee the quality planning and implementation of skills development interventions for the project in their respective duty areas.

Joining Enabel as a Skills Development Officer, you will be directly reporting to the Project Manager and you will perform the following key tasks:
You will ensure that skills development trainings are responsive to the labour market needs/gaps in the priority sectors
You will lead development and ensure quality of skills development trainings and post trainings activities
You will Coach and mentor, the participating entities as well as trainees.
You will be the focal point person for SDF to ensure that the grantees’ reporting requirements and deadlines are observed in accordance with the guidelines of the Grant Agreements;
You will Support the setting up of a Skills Development Fund knowledge sharing platform for the regional skills development players & private sector stakeholders in order contribute to high level discussions and scenario development around match funding for skills development;

Your profile
A Masters’ degree or equivalent in technical fields of Business Administration & Management; Social Sciences; Social Works and Social Administration; Vocational studies
At least 5 years’ proven experience in skills development in a reputable organisation or in a multi-sectoral setting;
At least 3 years’ proven experience grants management for social development interventions;
Work experience in a bilateral or multilateral agency in fields of Skills Development and Grants management.
Experience working with/in the private sector would be an advantage;
Skills development funding mechanisms management;
Capacity building of grantees for effective grants implementation
Grantees follow up and M&E
Planning and managing the post training support including effective tracking of the beneficiaries
