Job Description
The Nursery Teacher will be responsible for nurturing, teaching, and supporting the early learning and developmental needs of young children. The role focuses on creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment where children learn through play, exploration, and guided activities.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Create and maintain a safe, caring, and stimulating learning environment for nursery pupils.
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons using play-based and child-centered teaching methods.
- Observe, assess, and document children’s developmental progress and learning outcomes.
- Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
- Establish positive relationships with children, parents, and fellow staff members.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children’s progress and wellbeing.
- Maintain classroom order, hygiene, and child safety at all times.
- Participate in school activities, meetings, and professional development programs.
