Job Title: Credit/Loan Officer – Several Positions

Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda
Job Summary:
As a Credit/Loan Officer, you will play a crucial role in analyzing credit data and financial statements to assess the risk involved in extending credit or lending money. You will prepare reports that aid in decision-making processes, working closely with a team of two under the guidance of the Credit Manager. This on-site position in Kampala demands a detail-oriented and analytical approach, where effective communication and problem-solving skills are essential for success.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Generate financial ratios using computer programs to evaluate customers’ financial status.
Consult with customers to resolve complaints and verify financial and credit transactions.
Contact customers to collect payments on delinquent accounts.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education Requirements: Post-secondary Diploma in Business or related fields
Required Experience: No prior experience necessary
Mandatory Skills: Speaking, Active Learning, Active Listening, Monitoring, Time Management
Required Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in Office Suite Software, specifically MS Excel
Preferred Qualifications
Desired Additional Skills: Mathematics
Beneficial Experience: Familiarity with economic and accounting principles
Additional Technical Knowledge: Understanding of basic economic principles
