1.0 Invitation to Apply
The Public Service Commission invites applications from qualified, confirmed serving Public Officers in Ministries and Local Governments to fill vacant positions. Applicants must have been duly appointed and confirmed by the relevant National or Local Service Commission.
All applications must be submitted online via the e-recruitment portal by Monday, 3rd November 2025.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will report to the Principal Records Officer and be responsible for:
Planning and coordinating day-to-day operations of the Registry
Developing and implementing classification schemes
Establishing registries and records centres
Coordinating the implementation of retention and disposal schedules
Providing on-the-job training for junior staff
Performing any other duties assigned from time to time
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Applicants must be Ugandan nationals and hold an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following fields from a recognized institution:
Records and Archives Management
Library and Information Science
Experience Required
At least three (3) years of relevant work experience as a Records Officer in Government.

d) If you cannot obtain a recommendation, you may still submit your application but must include a written explanation.
