Job Description
Renew Capital is seeking an exceptional Senior Project Manager – Private Sector & Investment Programs to lead the planning, coordination and execution of high-profile private-sector and investment initiatives across Africa. This role is ideal for a top-tier consulting professional who thrives in problem-solving, cross-team coordination and high-performance execution.
The Senior Project Manager will ensure projects stay on track, bottlenecks are removed, and teams are aligned. This is not a research or policy role—it’s about delivering results through rigorous project management, operational efficiency and structured stakeholder coordination.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
- Develop and maintain structured project plans, ensuring clear objectives, timelines, and accountability.
- Track progress, identify risks, and proactively solve problems to keep projects on schedule.
- Ensure all workstreams are documented, monitored, and reported with clarity and precision
Process Optimization & Operational Efficiency
- Implement best-in-class project management methodologies to streamline execution.
- Continuously improve internal processes, workflows, and reporting systems.
- Build and manage trackers, dashboards, and performance tools to enhance visibility and accountability.
Stakeholder Coordination & Communication
- Act as the central coordination point between internal teams, investors, funders, and external partners.
- Facilitate meetings, resolve misalignment, and ensure seamless collaboration.
- Develop and deliver high-quality reports, presentations, and strategic updates.
Problem-Solving & Decision Support
- Apply structured problem-solving techniques to overcome execution challenges.
- Conduct scenario planning and data analysis to support senior leadership decisions.
- Identify and address gaps in execution, team alignment, and operational processes.
Performance Tracking & Reporting
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project success.
- Implement project tracking tools and reporting frameworks to ensure visibility into progress.
- Provide concise, data-driven updates to leadership and external stakeholders.
