About the Organisation
Uganda Free Zones and Export Promotions Authority (UFZEPA) is a statutory government agency established under the Free Zones (Amendment) Act No. 30 of 2024. Formed through the merger of the Uganda Free Zones Authority and the Uganda Export Promotion Board, UFZEPA operates under the supervision of the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Cooperatives. The Authority is mandated to oversee the establishment, development, management, marketing, maintenance, supervision, and control of free zones, as well as the development, promotion, and coordination of all export-related activities in Uganda.
UFZEPA aims to stimulate foreign investment, enhance export competitiveness, create employment opportunities, and drive sustainable economic growth by providing a conducive environment for businesses. By integrating the functions of its predecessor agencies, UFZEPA streamlines processes, reduces bureaucratic hurdles, and offers incentives that position Uganda as an attractive hub for international trade and investment.

Job Description
Position: Senior Export Marketing Officer (Services)
Location: Kampala,Uganda
Job Summary: To provide technical support and guidance on management of international trade and export of products and services
Salary: UFZEPA - 4
Terms: Three (3) Year Contract (Renewable upon good performance)
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Develop and disseminate guidelines on export marketing requirements and standards
Develop product/service profiles for exporters and business community
Monitor and report on export performance and trends using data analytics
Provide exporter-after-care and handholding of potential exporters
Conduct market scoping studies in specific foreign markets
Carry out trade data analysis on volumes, values, trends and patterns
Facilitate online marketing of products/services by Ugandan firms
Execute digital marketing campaigns to reach international markets
Facilitate outreach programs and export clinics to producer/manufacturer/exporter associations
Supervise and appraise staff

Qualifications, Education and Competencies

a) Academic Qualifications
Honors Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, International Business, Business Administration, Economics, Agricultural Economics or Agribusiness
OR Full professional qualification/membership of Marketing (CIM)
b) Work Experience
At least 3 years’ experience at Officer level in a reputable organization
