Ensure compliance with energy conservation and emissions reduction standards set by CNOOC Uganda Limited and the Government of Uganda.
Lead departmental efforts related to energy conservation and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction.
Provide technical support and recommendations to the Operations Department on energy and emissions issues.
Develop and implement the department's Annual Energy Conservation & Emissions Reduction Plan.
Prepare quarterly and annual analysis reports on energy conservation and emissions performance.
Conduct internal training programs on energy conservation and emissions practices.
Organize regular inspections, audits, and monitoring activities.
Conduct onsite investigations and offer actionable recommendations for GHG emission control and reduction.
Represent the department in relevant meetings and prepare reports and presentations.
Develop emergency response plans and coordinate related drills for GHG emission incidents.
Lead investigations and reporting efforts in the event of GHG emission incidents or accidents.
Perform other tasks as assigned by the Operations Department management.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or a related field with a focus on energy conservation and emissions reduction.
Minimum of 8 years’ experience in the Oil & Gas industry, with at least 5 years in field production operations and 2 years in an engineering or equivalent role.
Required Knowledge
Strong understanding of local governmental policies and CNOOC International standards on energy and emissions.
Proficient in energy measurement, calculations, and unit conversions.
In-depth knowledge of oilfield production processes and industry-specific energy and emissions challenges.
