Job Description
The Senior Driver will manage the official transportation needs of the CEO/Director General, ensuring prompt and secure movement. The position demands a high level of responsibility, discretion, and professionalism. The role also includes maintaining vehicle cleanliness, monitoring vehicle performance, completing relevant documentation, and mentoring junior drivers. The position requires an individual with proven driving skills, safety awareness, and attention to detail.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Drive the CEO/Director General as authorized in a safe and professional manner.
Perform routine mechanical checks on vehicle systems including oil, brakes, electrical, and tire pressure.
Detect and report vehicle malfunctions promptly.
Maintain accurate vehicle work tickets and trip logs.
Ensure vehicle safety and security at all times.
Coach and induct new or junior drivers.
Ensure passenger and goods safety during transportation.
Maintain vehicle cleanliness and readiness.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Minimum Qualifications:
KCSE mean grade D+ or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license with no current endorsements for relevant vehicle classes.
Occupational Trade Test for Drivers Grade I from KIHBT or any recognized institution.
Defensive Driving Certificate from AA Kenya or its equivalent.
Suitability Test for Drivers Grade I.
First Aid Refresher Course Certificate (at least one week) from St. John Ambulance, KIHBT, or a recognized institution.
Proficiency in computer applications.
Experience:
Minimum of four (4) years of relevant driving experience.
Key Competencies and Skills:
Effective communication skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Good time management and organizational skills.
Team player with excellent interpersonal abilities.
Demonstrated integrity and accountability.
