Job Description
The role involves planning and supervising aircraft loading to ensure optimal weight distribution and fuel efficiency. The Load Control Supervisor ensures that load sheets, seating plans, and special load information conform to company policies, customer service level agreements (SLAs), and regulatory requirements. The role also includes monitoring and reporting load control performance metrics, maintaining safety and security protocols, and ensuring staff proficiency and regulatory compliance. This position demands accuracy in estimated zero fuel weight (EZFW) calculations, timely performance reporting, and consistent enforcement of safety standards.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Supervise aircraft loading to ensure proper weight and balance on each flight
Prepare accurate load sheets, seating configurations, and special load notifications
Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and company procedures
Monitor estimated zero fuel weight (EZFW) for accuracy and fuel optimization
Prepare daily weight and balance performance reports
Oversee team performance, appraisals, and licensing compliance
Implement and maintain safety, security, and emergency procedures
Address issues such as space/weight restrictions, loading discrepancies, and SLA compliance
Maintain up-to-date records of licenses and training for team members
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Certificate in Flight Operations, Airport Operations, or Weight and Balance
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Applied Sciences, or a related field
At least 5 years’ experience in Flight or Airport Operations
Strong knowledge of Kenya Airways’ commercial processes
Proficient in computer applications relevant to flight operations
Strong analytical, planning, and leadership skills
Good negotiation and influencing abilities
Flexible and adaptable to dynamic operational demands
