Job Title: Senior Associate - SME Advisory Services

We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic, committed, and highly talented individual for the role of Senior Associate – SME Advisory Services for our Uganda office. The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of practical, innovative, and impactful solutions to help our clients grow sustainably and achieve their business goals.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Driving business development efforts through identifying and pursuing potential SME clients.
Building and nurturing relationships with SMEs, industry partners, and stakeholders.
Developing and implementing strategies to promote GT’s SME advisory services in the market.
Prepare proposals and conduct pitches to potential clients.
Conducting needs assessments to understand client challenges and designing customized solutions in areas such as financial management, marketing, operations, etc.
Lead the execution of engagements from inception to completion, ensuring quality and timely services.
Collaborating with internal teams to develop tools, frameworks, and methodologies for SME advisory services.
Monitoring industry trends, SME sector challenges, and opportunities to refine GT’s service offerings.
Monitor and ensure targeted recoveries are achieved on engagements.
Train and mentor Associates to build capacity in SME advisory services
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
The Ideal Candidate Should Have:
A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, or related fields.
A Master’s degree or professional certifications like CPA, ACCA are a plus.
3–5 years of experience in consulting, SME advisory, business development, or a similar field.
Strong experience in business planning, financial analysis, and operational improvement strategies.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation abilities.
