Role Overview:
The Senior Accountant Officer is responsible for ensuring accurate financial record-keeping, regulatory compliance, and effective support of the company’s tax and audit obligations. This role will also support junior accountants and contribute to the overall financial integrity of the organization.

How to Apply
Maintain accurate and timely financial records using SAP in compliance with Ugandan GAAP.
Calculate, file, and ensure timely payment of taxes, including liaising with URA on audits and other tax matters.
Prepare monthly reconciliations and support the month-end and year-end financial close processes.
Post and allocate bank entries accurately to vendors or appropriate balance sheet items.
Ensure full compliance with URA and NSSF regulations.
Participate in the preparation of annual financial statements and external audit processes.
Recommend and enforce financial policies and internal controls.
Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff to improve team efficiency and performance.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from a recognized institution.
At least 2 years of professional accounting experience.
Proficiency in SAP or other ERP systems.
Strong understanding of local tax regulations and financial reporting standards.
Preferred:
CPA qualification (completed or in progress).
Postgraduate certification or demonstrated professional development is an added advantage.
Previous experience in a financial institution is highly desirable.
