Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing accounting functions, generating financial reports and projections, and maintaining accurate bank reconciliations and general ledger records. They will assist with budget planning and audit preparations, resolve financial discrepancies, and ensure timely tax submissions. The role also includes improving accounting systems and mentoring junior team members to maintain financial integrity within the organization.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Coordinate and oversee accounting functions and programs
Prepare financial analyses, reports, and forecasts
Assist in budget development and monitoring
Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
Support annual audit processes and address audit findings
Ensure compliance with tax laws through timely tax return preparation
Enhance and implement accounting systems and procedures
Provide guidance and supervision to junior staff
Perform other finance-related duties as required

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Academic Qualification:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience
Professional Certification:
Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN)
Skills and Competencies:
Strong knowledge of tax laws and ERPs
Adequate understanding of fund administration and management
Excellent financial reporting and analytical skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
Strong organizational, training, and supervisory skills
Ability to work under minimal supervision
