Job Description
Quality Plastics (U) Ltd is seeking a skilled and self-motivated Senior Accountant to join our Accounts Department. The role will involve Maintaining and updating financial records while working closing with other members of the finance team to ensure that financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported. efficiently, and reliably to support our manufacturing operations.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Maintain and update financial records, including reconciling bank statements and ensuring that all transactions are accurately recorded.
- Management of Pay roll and disbursement of wages/salaries in a timely manner (Including Payment of staff advances and loans)
- Check entry postings in tally to ensure that accounting transactions are posted correctly.
- Prepare the purchase/stock and SRS reports (for mid-month and end of month)
- Prepare and file monthly Statutory returns (VAT, WHT, Local Excise Duty returns) in a timely manner
- Reconcile the different tax, ledgers on a monthly basis.
- Manage the accounts receivables (Daily and monthly preparation debtors report and customer statements)
- Provide support with various internal & external audits (both financial and URA tax audits).
- Manage the Insurance premium/Marine payments and reconcile the Insurance Ledgers.
- Bank reconciliation and checking of monthly OD calculations in a timely manner.
- Provide financial guidance and support to other departments within the organisation as when required.
- Assist in preparation of monthly expenses schedules (while ensuring that the expenses are correctly booked & allocated to right Ledgers) as and when required.
- Supervise the day today work of the account’s assistants.
