Job Description
Reporting to the Territory Sales Manager, the Sales Representative will focus on creating market awareness, building client relationships, and driving sales for d.light products. The role entails recruiting and managing Solar Energy Promoters (SEPs), ensuring stock availability, and monitoring payment quality. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills to effectively manage sales growth and uphold portfolio quality standards.

How to Apply
Create awareness and promote direct sales across retail outlets within the assigned territory.
Recruit, train, and manage Solar Energy Promoters (SEPs) to meet sales targets.
Prospect and onboard new customers to expand business opportunities.
Manage and support outlet sales agents to achieve stock movement and sales goals.
Monitor sales data, track market trends, and handle customer queries or complaints.
Ensure consistent stock availability in all retail outlets.
Activate and manage new channels such as Experience Centers, Phone Shops, and Retail Distributors.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and partners.
Track competitive activities within the territory and provide market intelligence.
Implement the d.light Route to Market strategy.
Maintain delinquency rates below defined thresholds by monitoring customer payment quality.
Assess new customer onboarding and analyze payment behaviors to mitigate risk.
Ensure proper stock and inventory management according to company procedures.
Supervise SEP stock handling and safety to maintain minimum stock levels.
Follow up on outstanding payments and ensure timely settlements.
Maintain company tools of trade and ensure proper usage in accordance with policy.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s Degree or Higher Diploma in Sales & Marketing or any Business-related field.
1–3 years of proven sales experience with a strong performance record.
Prior experience in the renewable energy or solar industry is an added advantage.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Proven ability to build rapport quickly and maintain client relationships.
Valid Kenya motorbike riding license.
Strong organizational and analytical abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Commitment to continuous improvement and maintaining confidentiality.
Passion for social enterprise, environmental sustainability, and community development.
