Job Description
Job Title: Sales and Marketing Specialist
Organisation: Orison Solutions
Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda
The Sales and Marketing Specialist will play a key role in driving revenue growth through strategic marketing initiatives, lead generation, and direct sales. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in B2B sales, IT solutions marketing, and client engagement within East Africa’s technology sector.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Develop and execute effective sales and marketing strategies to drive business growth.
Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities in target markets (ICT, government, enterprise, education, etc.).
Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure repeat business and customer satisfaction.
Conduct market research and competitor analysis to support business positioning.
Plan and coordinate marketing campaigns, events, exhibitions, and product promotions.
Prepare sales presentations, proposals, and pitch decks tailored to client needs.
Collaborate with technical and product teams to align solutions with market demand.
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, forecasts, and customer interactions in CRM tools.
Represent Orison Solutions at industry events and trade fairs across East Africa.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, IT, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in B2B sales or IT solution marketing.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Familiarity with ICT, cybersecurity, or enterprise software solutions is a plus.
Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to travel across the region when required.
