Position Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Risk & Quality Associate to join our Assurance Line of Service. The role involves supporting the Assurance Leadership in executing and monitoring risk management and quality control processes.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Risk & Quality Compliance
Maintain and update the documentation of the Assurance Quality Management System, including key controls, policies, and processes.
Prepare and revise risk and quality management plans, including Audit Quality Risk Assessment (AQRA) plans, ensuring alignment with global risk management standards.
Conduct internal compliance reviews to assess adherence to quality control policies and evaluate the impact of any findings.
Monitor the implementation of AQRA and annual Risk & Quality plans.
Prepare regular reports for Assurance Leadership, covering compliance test results, AQRA outcomes, and remediation progress.
Support and participate in independent testing of quality control systems.
Identify root causes of quality control issues and collaborate on effective remediation actions.
Assist teams with the annual review and evaluation of quality control systems within the Assurance practice.
Staffing & HR Coordination
Collaborate with staff scheduling managers to ensure efficient allocation of personnel and adherence to resource planning procedures.
Coordinate Assurance recruitment needs with the HR team and track progress.
Work with the Learning & Education team to manage the annual training schedule and ensure staff calendars are appropriately blocked.
Support staff performance management by applying firm-wide performance systems and addressing Assurance-related HR queries.
Maintain up-to-date physical and electronic filing systems for HR records within Assurance.
Assist HR and leadership with inputs for annual budgeting and monthly variance analysis.
Prepare quarterly staff reports, including metrics on allocation, utilization, and performance.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
A university degree in Business Management or a related field from a recognized institution.
CPA or ACCA (partly qualified or qualified) is a strong advantage.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Required Skills & Competencies
Proven experience in a related business or audit environment.
Strong IT proficiency and understanding of digital systems.
High level of discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
Excellent administrative and organizational skills with attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal abilities to foster effective working relationships at all levels.
Capability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks under pressure.
Strong understanding of risk management principles.
Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
