About Organisation:
The National Agricultural Research Organization (NARO) is mandated to coordinate, oversee and guide agricultural research in Uganda. The organisation is made up of a Council as its governing Body, a Secretariat for its daily operations. and 16 Public Agricultural Research Institutes (PARIS) under its policy guidance.
Job Summary: To develop new crop varieties with desirable traits, identify genetic variations, analyze genetic data.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Recruitment software
Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture (crop science option) plus a Master’s Degree in Plant Breeding, Genetics or Molecular Breeding.
Should have a minimum of three years demonstrated working experience in a related field.
Proven record of publications in referred journals is an added advantage.
Possession of a PhD is an added advantage.
Age Limit: Not more than 40 years
NB: Female applicants with the required academic qualification and experience are encouraged to apply
