Location: Mubende, Masaka, Mbarara, Kyenjojo, Jinja, Kampala (Gayaza, Kawempe & City branches)
Job Summary
Opportunity Bank Uganda is seeking qualified and motivated individuals to fill ten (10) Relationship Officer positions. The ideal candidates will be responsible for growing the bank’s Group and Individual loan portfolio through client recruitment, loan assessment, and relationship management while ensuring portfolio quality and compliance.

How to Apply
Business Growth
Grow the loan and deposit portfolio by acquiring new clients and expanding existing relationships.
Recruit individual and group loan clients to meet disbursement and portfolio targets.
Assess potential borrowers to ensure they meet lending criteria.
Participate in the loan approval committee to vet loan applications.
Conduct client training on bank products, terms, and expectations.
Portfolio Monitoring & Management
Monitor loan performance and identify early warning signs of default.
Ensure compliance with bank policies and loan terms.
Maintain portfolio quality in line with the bank’s PAR (Portfolio at Risk) standards.
Client Relationship Management
Conduct regular client visits and attend group meetings.
Address client inquiries and provide guidance on loan processes and bank services.
Support clients in using bank channels and payment systems.
Reporting & Recovery
Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports.
Follow up and recover overdue loans in line with recovery procedures.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Banking, Marketing, or a related field.
Additional professional training in microfinance, credit, or marketing is an advantage.
Prior experience in credit operations is a plus.
Must have at least a Credit pass in both Mathematics and English at O’ Level.
Key Competencies
Strong knowledge of credit risk and sales management.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Effective communication skills (written and spoken) with fluency in English.
Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Email & Internet).
Team player with a proactive attitude.
