Role Overview
As Regional Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for shaping and executing effective marketing strategies to enhance brand positioning, drive market share growth, and support the commercial objectives in the East African region. Working closely with the Regional Sales Director and cross-functional teams, you will oversee all aspects of marketing planning, campaign implementation, and product promotions.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Develop and execute integrated marketing and commercial strategies for East Africa.
Conduct market intelligence and competitor analysis to identify emerging trends and business opportunities.
Design and implement innovative marketing campaigns to enhance brand awareness and customer engagement.
Manage New Product Introductions (NPIs) in collaboration with R&D and Project Management teams.
Coordinate with Sales, R&D, Regulatory, and Supply Chain to ensure alignment and successful execution of marketing plans.
Track campaign effectiveness through key performance indicators (KPIs) and refine strategies as needed.
Oversee marketing budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and maximum return on investment (ROI).
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field is required.
A Master’s degree (MBA or Marketing specialization) is an added advantage.
Professional membership in marketing bodies such as the Uganda Marketers Society (UMS) or the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) is desirable.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a Marketing Manager role within the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in veterinary medicine.
Proven expertise in developing and executing marketing strategies with measurable results.
Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
Demonstrated experience in budget oversight and project execution.
Ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on implementation in a fast-paced, multi-country environment.
