Job Description
Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Banking, the role holder will strategically identify and capitalize on regional growth opportunities within Enterprise Banking, Agriculture, WIB, Saccos, and Investment Clubs. The individual will collaborate with Business Bankers to enhance sales, guide product development based on market needs, and ensure the overall success of enterprise banking in the region. The role involves extensive client engagement, market analysis, training, and stakeholder management to strengthen the Bank’s position in enterprise banking.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Identify and assess regional opportunities to drive business growth in Enterprise Banking, WIB, Agric, Investment Clubs, and Saccos.
Develop and implement strategic initiatives to expand the bank’s market presence in assigned regions.
Maximize ecosystem opportunities aligned with the bank’s focus sectors.
Collaborate with Business Bankers to enhance sales strategies, provide guidance, and support target achievement.
Conduct client visits to drive sales, identify opportunities, and close deals.
Analyze market trends and customer needs to influence product development and diversification.
Collaborate with product development teams to create solutions tailored for enterprise clients.
Monitor, evaluate, and report on the performance of Business Bankers against established targets.
Implement corrective actions to ensure continuous improvement in performance.
Conduct regular sales meetings to review progress and realign strategies.
Cultivate and maintain strong stakeholder relationships within and outside the bank.
Represent the Bank in enterprise banking forums and events.
Enhance training programs for Business Bankers and branch networks on customer service and selling skills.
Prepare and submit timely performance reports and recommendations to senior management.
Undertake any other responsibilities assigned by management.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, Economics, or Statistics. A Master’s degree or professional banking qualification is an added advantage.
Experience: At least 5 years’ experience in banking, with a minimum of 3 years in sales, schemes, and people management.
Skills & Competencies:
In-depth understanding of Enterprise Banking product features, pricing, benefits, and promotions.
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
Advanced computer literacy and numerical/statistical analysis skills.
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
Assertive, energetic, self-starter, and natural networker.
Ability to supervise, motivate, and train staff.
High levels of integrity and ethical standards.
