About the Project:
The EXPrESSIVE-10 trial is a Phase 3 clinical study evaluating the safety and effectiveness of MK-8527, an investigational once-monthly oral PrEP medication. The study targets adolescent girls and young women and is conducted across five sites in Uganda: Entebbe, Kalangala, Kampala, Masaka, and Mityana.
To support study operations in Kalangala, IDI is seeking a friendly, professional, and well-organized Receptionist to join the team.

How to Apply
Offer a warm and professional welcome to all study participants and visitors.
Verify participant identities and manage appointment confirmations.
Answer incoming calls, address inquiries, take messages, and direct calls appropriately.
Accurately perform data entry tasks related to participant records.
Provide clear information to participants and refer them to the appropriate clinic staff as needed.
Ensure participant comfort, including offering refreshments and maintaining a welcoming environment.
Manage participant waiting areas by providing entertainment tools for both participants and their children.
Maintain cleanliness and order in participant spaces.
Requisition and distribute participant reimbursements and ensure proper accountability.
Coordinate participant flow within the clinic to reduce wait times.
Supervise and care for children accompanying participants.
Safeguard entertainment tools, toys, and any other materials under your responsibility.
Guide study participants and visitors to relevant clinic departments.
Facilitate the referral of pregnant and breastfeeding participants to antenatal and postnatal services at Kalangala Health Centre IV.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Diploma in Comprehensive Nursing
Valid registration with the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council
Person Specification:
Computer literacy
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Friendly, empathetic, and patient, with a talent for resolving concerns and creating positive experiences
Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities
Outgoing personality and willingness to work flexible hours
Preferably female
Must be a resident of Kalangala
