Job Description
Bank of Uganda invites applications from suitably qualified Ugandans to fill the position of Quantity Surveyor (ADS4.11) in its Buildings Maintenance Services department. The successful candidate will be responsible for cost management, contract administration, and quality oversight of construction and facilities maintenance projects across the Bank's properties.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide cost management and quantity surveying services for construction and buildings maintenance projects.
- Prepare and review bills of quantities, cost estimates, and tender documents.
- Administer contracts and monitor contractor performance to ensure compliance with specifications and budgets.
- Conduct valuations of work done and certify payments to contractors.
- Carry out pre- and post-contract cost control and reporting.
- Undertake site measurements and inspections to verify quantities and quality of work.
- Advise management on cost-effective construction and maintenance solutions.
- Prepare final accounts and settlement of claims at project completion.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and professional standards in all quantity surveying activities.
