Job Description
The Quality Controller will be responsible for ensuring that all company products including but not limited to Mango and pineapple fruit pulp, the pineapple juice concentrate and bottled juice meet SGI’s quality and safety standards. The role includes testing products, auditing production processes, and identifying areas for quality improvement.

How to Apply
Key Duties and Responsibilities: The Quality Controller oversees:
Product Testing
Process Audits
Compliance Monitoring
Reporting
Duty/Responsibility
Conduct regular testing and sampling of products to ensure they meet quality standards.
Document test results and ensure any quality deviations are addressed immediately.
Conduct audits of production processes to ensure compliance with internal quality systems.
Identify and report non-conformances, implementing corrective actions where necessary.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards.
Support external audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports.
Prepare detailed quality reports and share findings with the Quality Assurance Supervisor for continuous improvement.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
2 -3 years of experience in quality control within the food/beverage industry
GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and local food safety regulations, including Uganda National Bureau of Standards (UNBS) requirements
Educational Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Food Science, Industrial chemistry, Chemical engineering, Quality Control, or related field.
Additional skills:
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and quality control procedures.
Attention to detail and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and reporting skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team.
