Job Description
Coca-Cola Beverages Africa is the largest African Coca-Cola bottler, accounting for 40% of all Coca-Cola volumes on the continent. In Uganda, we are currently seeking to recruit a Quality Controller, based at our Mbarara Plant.
As a Quality Controller, you will report directly to the Team leader Packaging.
The primary role of a Quality Controller is to monitor the quality control environment and conduct tests and analyses to control and ensure compliance to quality requirements across the Supply Chain.

How to Apply
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Control Quality in On-site produced preforms & closures– sampling and testing according to incoming inspection protocols.
Control Quality in Blown bottles– sampling and testing according to incoming inspection protocols.
Communicate any non-conformances to the Line Team Leader, QAT and SHEQ manager & ensure that non-conforming materials are isolated or released.
Control Quality of Final product - sampling and testing is done according to required sampling methods and testing protocols.
Non-conforming final product is segregated, isolated and marked as per non-conforming material procedure.
Ensure that the requirements of the Quality Management System, including Policies, Work instructions, Work aids etc are complied with.
Participate in quality improvement projects.
Test results are recorded and communicated to the relevant stakeholders. All non-conformances are communicated to the relevant production and QA/SHEQ personnel.
Retention samples for final syrup and final product are taken, marked and stored as per retention sample protocols.
GLP and GMP requirements are interpreted and applied in the laboratory, test environment as well as respective production environment.
Participate in food safety management system implementation.
Report food safety, defence and fraud related issues to food safety team leader designate (SHEQ) manager.
Qualifications
Minimum requirement: Bachelor’s in food technology or any relevant Science degree (Chemistry, Biotechnology, Analytical Chemistry).
Experience
Prior QC experience or routine testing experience is preferred.
