Job Description
Job Title: Quality Controller
Organisation: AMSAF
Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda
AMSAF East African Ltd is seeking an experienced Quality Controller to oversee and maintain grain quality standards across the value chain-from receiving and processing to storage and transportation.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Conduct accurate quality control tests on grain at all stages. Promptly report and address contamination or infestation.
Prepare and submit accurate reports and test results to support decision-making and ensure compliance.
Ensure adherence to national and international food safety, sanitation, and HSSE standards.
Minimize grain losses through effective team training, process adherence, and collaboration.
Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Diploma or Degree in Agriculture, Food Science, or a related field
Minimum 2 years’ experience in grain handling, food processing, or agriculture
Knowledge of grain testing and grading
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication skills
Fluency in English; additional languages are an assetica
