Job Description
This position involves planning, conducting, and reporting on audits across departments and external suppliers to evaluate quality systems, identify gaps, and recommend improvements. The auditor will ensure effective CAPA implementation, participate in regulatory and client audits, and train staff on compliance and quality improvement. The role requires deep familiarity with pharmaceutical quality systems and strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills.

Develop and execute internal audit schedules as per SOPs and audit protocols.
Assess GMP compliance in manufacturing, quality control, warehousing, and engineering functions.
Draft and submit audit reports detailing findings and non-conformities.
Monitor and verify implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
Conduct external audits of raw material and packaging material suppliers as part of vendor qualification.
Evaluate QMS components such as deviations, CAPAs, change controls, and documentation practices.
Prepare for and support audits conducted by regulatory bodies (e.g., WHO, NDA, FDA).
Perform regulatory gap assessments and ensure alignment with international quality standards.
Train employees on audit processes and quality compliance best practices.
Promote risk-based quality assessments and maintain high standards of confidentiality and integrity.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Academic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Industrial Chemistry, Quality Management, or a related scientific discipline.
Postgraduate certification in Quality Systems or Auditing (e.g., ISO 9001 Lead Auditor) is an added advantage.
Experience and Competencies:
Minimum of 4–5 years’ experience in pharmaceutical quality assurance.
At least 2 years of experience in audit or regulatory compliance roles.
Strong knowledge of cGMP, WHO GMP, ICH Q10, and ISO 9001 standards.
Experience conducting internal and external audits in regulated environments.
Skilled in risk-based auditing, CAPA follow-up, and documentation practices.
Excellent analytical, report writing, and interpersonal skills.
High level of integrity and ability to work independently and cross-functionally.
