Job Title: Project Manager

Salary: $39,027
Malaria Consortium is recruiting for a position of Project Manager to join our team in Kampala.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the defined objectives. As a Project Manager, you will work closely with various stakeholders, including internal teams, clients, and vendors, to ensure that all project milestones are achieved successfully.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
The successful candidate will have:
Master’s degree in public health, epidemiology, international development, management or relevant discipline
Additional training in community health, maternal and child health, or health systems strengthening is a plus
10+ years of experience managing health programs, preferably in community-based health interventions.
Extensive work experience as a senior project manager in public health related projects, and a proven ability to deliver high-quality project outputs
Proven and experience ability to work with Ministries of Health, local government health departments, and community health workers (CHWs)
Strong understanding of iCCM strategies, policies, and best practices.
Experience in health system strengthening, supply chain management, and monitoring & evaluation (M&E) of health programs.
Ability to design and implement training programs for CHWs and local health staff.
Knowledge of data collection tools and reporting systems (DHIS2, ODK, etc.).
Extensive experience in organizing community health projects/programs
Partnership experience working with key health partners, including those active on the iCCM, and liaising with the national MoH, representing a project and an organization
Extensive experience of personnel management, budget management and providing financial oversight
