Role Overview
ActionAid International Uganda is seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Coordinator to lead the implementation of a key project aimed at ending harmful practices and promoting the rights of adolescent girls in the Karamoja sub-region, specifically in Amudat and Nakapiripirit districts.
The Coordinator will be responsible for strategic oversight, effective implementation, monitoring, reporting, stakeholder engagement, and team supervision. The role also involves promoting women’s rights, supporting advocacy initiatives, and ensuring project success stories are well documented and shared.

How to Apply
Lead and coordinate project planning, implementation, and reporting.
Oversee project monitoring, evaluation, and learning in line with AAIU’s frameworks.
Manage project budgets and track expenditure against plans.
Drive resource mobilization and fundraising efforts to support project sustainability.
Build and maintain partnerships with donors, local stakeholders, and implementing partners.
Supervise and mentor project staff to ensure high-quality delivery.
Integrate gender equality and adolescent girls’ rights into programming and advocacy efforts.
Document and communicate project impact and success stories effectively.
Education:
A Master’s degree or equivalent in Humanities, Development Studies, Human Rights, Economics, Social Sciences, or a related field.
Work Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in women’s rights or SRHR programming.
Proven experience (3+ years) in project implementation within an NGO setting.
Experience in advocacy, strategy development, and stakeholder engagement.
Background in working with international NGOs or donor-funded projects is highly desirable.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong conceptual, analytical, and strategic thinking abilities.
Excellent planning, organizational, and coordination skills.
Proven ability to work independently and in multicultural teams.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to build and maintain effective partnerships.
Capacity to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
