We are currently recruiting two (2) highly motivated individuals to serve as Project Assistants on the SCIF Project.
About the SCIF Project
The SCIF Project focuses on delivering sustainable WASH (Water, Sanitation & Hygiene) services to vulnerable communities by combining infrastructure development with community-level hygiene promotion and behavior change. The project also supports environmentally friendly water treatment options that contribute to climate resilience and carbon offset.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Support the planning, coordination, and implementation of project activities within assigned communities.
Facilitate hygiene education and behavioral change interventions at the household and community level.
Promote climate-smart and energy-efficient water treatment solutions.
Collaborate with district water offices and relevant arms of the Ministry of Water and Environment to conduct water quality testing and monitoring.
Apply a systems-strengthening approach to ensure sustainable and inclusive WASH service delivery.
Maintain accurate records and reports on project progress and impact.
Engage and coordinate with local partners and stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
Ensure cost-effective implementation and accountability across all project components.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
A Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health, Public Health, Health Sciences, or a related discipline.
Minimum 4 years’ experience in WASH projects or similar development work.
Solid understanding of project planning, implementation, and reporting.
Experience in community mobilization and hygiene promotion.
Strong knowledge of safe water chains, non-energy-intensive water treatment options, and sustainable WASH practices.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
