Job Title: Project Assistant
Location: Amudat Area Program, Uganda
Organization: FH Association (formerly Food for the Hungry)
Contract Type: Full-Time National Staff (Open to Ugandan Nationals Only)

Position Overview

The Project Assistant will coordinate, monitor, and support community-level Child Engagement (sponsorship) and program activities, ensuring alignment with performance targets. This role plays a vital part in program delivery, community mobilization, and capacity building at the grassroots level.

  • Degree in Education, Development Studies, Social Work, Social Administration, Agriculture, Nutrition, Community-Based Rehabilitation, Community Psychology, Adult and Community Education, or related field

  • Minimum 2 years of post-graduate experience in community development projects

  • Experience organizing and facilitating community groups

  • Strong interpersonal and human relations skills

  • Knowledge of participatory community development and capacity-building approaches

  • Familiarity with government policies and strategies

  • Proficient in computer applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Internet

  • Experience with child-focused NGOs is an added advantage
