Job Description
The Project / Lobby & Advocacy Manager will lead the FORT project team across five regions: Lango, Busoga, Elgon, Western, and Southwestern Uganda. The manager will supervise project implementation, ensure alignment with objectives, coordinate advocacy activities, and build the capacity of member organizations to influence change at local, national, and international levels. The role includes program planning, monitoring and evaluation, coalition-building, and stakeholder engagement, as well as preparing and submitting regular progress reports.

How to Apply
Define program objectives, scope, and deliverables in alignment with FORT project goals.
Administer and supervise the FORT project team, ensuring effective implementation and timely reporting.
Monitor staff performance against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Drive a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
Develop and track key advocacy strategies and maintain a calendar of activities.
Build the advocacy and operational capacity of member organizations.
Organize and support events (virtual and in-person), webinars, and meetings.
Represent UCA in local, regional, and global advocacy platforms.
Develop and disseminate advocacy materials, messages, and change stories.
Track the progress and impact of advocacy work and contribute to strategy development.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
Any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business & Development Studies, Project Planning and Management, Marketing, or related field.
Master’s degree in a related field is an added advantage.
Postgraduate qualifications in Lobby & Advocacy, Cooperatives, Project Planning, M&E, or HRM are desirable.
Membership in a professional body is an added advantage.
Minimum of 5 years in a senior management role in a reputable organization.
Strong decision-making, stakeholder management, and networking skills.
Comprehensive understanding of lobby and advocacy in farmer organizations and cooperatives.
Experience in project proposal writing and management.
Familiarity with the cooperative, public, and private sectors.
Strong multitasking, time-management, communication, and reporting skills.
Computer proficiency, including website and social media management.
Detail-oriented and deadline-driven.
