Job Description
UBF is seeking a passionate, strategic, and results-driven Programmes Manager to provide overall leadership in fundraising and in the design, implementation, and management of UBF’s conservation programmes. The successful candidate will ensure delivery of high-impact biodiversity initiatives that align with UBF’s strategic framework, strengthen partnerships, and enhance sustainability and innovation in conservation programming.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Lead fundraising, resource mobilization, donor engagement, and partnership management to support sustainable financing and conservation programme growth.
Provide strategic oversight, leadership, and coordination of all UBF programme activities.
Lead conceptualization, development, and monitoring of UBF programmes in line with the organizational strategy.
Oversee budgeting, financial performance, and programme implementation to ensure efficiency and accountability.
Ensure quality assurance in programme design, reporting, and donor compliance.
Lead institutional and partner capacity building, mentorship, and staff performance management.
Oversee monitoring, evaluation, and learning systems to strengthen impact assessment.
Build and maintain strong stakeholder partnerships with government, NGOs, the private sector, and development partners.
Represent UBF in national and international forums on biodiversity and sustainable financing.
Supervise staff through effective coaching and mentoring.
