Job Description
The Programme Officer will support the implementation of environment and climate change programmes, focusing on research, policy engagement, and programme delivery support. This role is ideal for an early-career professional with strong analytical skills and an interest in environmental and natural resource management.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Support the design, implementation, and monitoring of environment and climate change programmes
- Contribute to the development of project concepts, briefs, and technical documentation
- Provide technical input on environmental and natural resource management issues
- Support engagement with government, partners, and stakeholders in policy dialogue processes
- Contribute to the integration of strategic priorities into programme activities
- Prepare briefs and analytical reports on environmental and climate-related issues
- Support the coordination of programme activities, including meetings and stakeholder engagements
- Identify and compile relevant information on policy and programme-related issues
- Contribute to documentation of best practices and lessons learned
- Support knowledge-sharing initiatives, including trainings and internal learning sessions
- Contribute to knowledge networks and communities of practice
- Perform any other duties as assigned in support of programme objectives
