Job Description
ITO Uganda LTD is a branch of ITO GLOBAL LOGISTICS that specializes in the provision of logistical services. The company is seeking an enthusiastic Accountant to manage financial operations, reporting, and compliance within their dynamic team.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual Financial reports.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and financial documentation.
- Prepare profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
- Monitor company expenses and ensure budget compliance
- Support management with financial analysis and reporting.
- Manage supplier payments and ensure timely settlement of invoices
- Monitor customer accounts and follow up on outstanding receivables.
- Reconcile customer and supplier
- Maintain accurate aging reports for debtors and creditors.
- Conduct bank reconciliations on a regular basis
- Monitor cash flow and ensure availability of operational funds
- Prepare payment vouchers and process transactions accurately.
- Ensure compliance with Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) regulations.
- Prepare and file VAT, PAYE, NSSF, withholding tax, and other statutory returns on time.
- Support external audits and tax audits when required.
