Job Summary
The Uganda Program Coordinator is a proactive, adaptable leader passionate about supporting the professional growth and connection of Global Health Corps (GHC) community members. This role manages GHC’s programs and operations in Uganda, including the Africa Leadership Accelerator (ALA) and alumni engagement initiatives.
Reporting to the Rwanda & Uganda Country Director, and collaborating closely with the Rwanda Operations Coordinator, the Program Coordinator oversees recruitment, events, logistics, finances, and alumni programming to strengthen leadership and health system impact.

How to Apply
Program Coordination & Fellow Support
Lead the recruitment process for ALA Uganda fellows, developing outreach strategies and managing candidate selection.
Facilitate onboarding and serve as the main contact for fellows, ensuring program engagement and completion of requirements.
Organize coaching calls, check-ins, and events to support fellows’ personal and professional growth.
Manage event logistics, including venue contracting, travel coordination, and health and safety compliance.
Partnership Development
Maintain and build relationships with ALA partner organizations through outreach and networking.
Assist with partner agreements and cost-sharing negotiations.
Support supervisors with check-ins and resource sharing.
Alumni Community Engagement
Foster strong ties with GHC alumni in Uganda to mobilize community efforts.
Plan and execute networking, professional development, and knowledge-sharing events.
Support alumni chapter activities aligned with national strategy and collective goals.
Collaborate on alumni program design and lead regional event logistics.
External Relations & Communications
Represent GHC at networking events and support communications for fundraising and visibility.
Assist with donor reporting, content creation, and community engagement communications.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in program and operations management, ideally with international nonprofits or global organizations.
At least 3 years of program experience in Uganda.
Experience coaching or mentoring early-career professionals preferred.
Cross-cultural competency and experience working in diverse environments.
Strong project management, logistics, budgeting, and vendor management skills.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality work on time.
Compensation & Benefits
Annual salary: $20,000 – $22,000 (competitive).
