Position Title: Physiotherapist

Reports to: Program Manager – Kampala
Employment Type: Full-time
Position Summary
ACTV is seeking a compassionate and skilled Physiotherapist to provide high-quality rehabilitative care to survivors of torture. This role involves conducting assessments, delivering tailored physiotherapy interventions, managing equipment, and contributing to advocacy and reporting efforts. The ideal candidate will uphold professional standards while supporting the physical and emotional recovery of our clients.

How to Apply
Assessment & Treatment: Conduct thorough assessments and deliver personalized physiotherapy treatment to survivors, including the prescription of orthopedic appliances where necessary.
Rehabilitative Counseling: Provide supportive counseling as part of the overall rehabilitation process, ensuring holistic care for clients.
Equipment Management: Maintain physiotherapy tools and equipment, ensuring functionality and availability of essential materials.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with psychologists, social workers, and other professionals to develop and support peer-based survivor groups.
Referral & Advocacy: Refer clients for specialized medical evaluations or treatments and participate in awareness and advocacy activities against torture.
Reporting & Proposal Support: Contribute to program reporting and support fundraising through input on proposal development and donor reporting.
Education:Diploma in Physiotherapy (with Credit classification required)
Experience:Prior experience working with vulnerable populations, particularly survivors of trauma or torture, is an added advantage.
