1.0 Application Invitation
The Public Service Commission invites applications from duly appointed and confirmed serving Public Officers in Ministries and Local Governments to fill existing vacancies.
All applications must be submitted online no later than Monday, 3rd November 2025 via the PSC e-recruitment system.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
The Personal Secretary will report to the Senior Personal Secretary and be responsible for:
Scheduling and coordinating appointments and programmes in consultation with relevant officers
Taking dictation, transcribing, and preparing accurate and error-free documents
Attending to visitors and telephone calls professionally
Managing correspondence, ensuring timely responses to incoming and outgoing mail
Organizing meetings, taking and distributing minutes, and communicating decisions to relevant stakeholders
Preparing documents and materials required for meetings and speeches
Drafting routine letters and managing confidential communications
Ensuring the office is clean, orderly, and properly maintained
Maintaining and securing office records according to established procedures
Requisitioning, distributing, and managing office stationery and equipment
Supervising secretarial and support staff assigned to the office
Performing any other duties as may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Applicants must:
Be Ugandan citizens
Hold an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following fields from a recognized university/institution:
Secretarial Studies
Office and Information Management
Administrative and Secretarial Science
Business and Office Management
Experience Requirements
A minimum of three (3) years relevant working experience in Government, specifically at the level of Stenographer Secretary.
