Job Description
The Operations Supervisor will oversee day-to-day plant and production activities to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality cement manufacturing and logistics operations. The role involves coordinating teams, monitoring performance, implementing standard operating procedures, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to achieve production targets, cost efficiency, equipment reliability, and regulatory compliance.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operational activities within the cement plant to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
- Coordinate production schedules, manpower allocation, and material movement to meet operational targets.
- Monitor equipment performance and collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure timely repairs and preventive maintenance.
- Enforce adherence to operational procedures, safety standards, and quality control requirements.
- Track production output, downtime, and resource utilization; prepare operational reports and performance analyses.
- Support implementation of operational excellence initiatives, process optimization, and continuous improvement programs.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, occupational health and safety regulations.
- Lead, guide, and mentor operational staff to build capability, discipline, and high performance.
- Participate in incident investigations and corrective action implementation.
- Coordinate with logistics, quality control, procurement, and management teams to support seamless operations.
