Job Description
The role is responsible for providing support to the CIB, PBB, and BCB marketing teams, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to implement marketing campaigns and events. The incumbent will ensure that all activities adhere to Standard Bank’s procurement, legal, risk, and compliance procedures. The officer will also support content development, vendor liaison, market research, and tactical marketing initiatives aimed at enhancing brand visibility and achieving business outcomes. This role requires strong collaboration with internal departments such as sales and product development to maintain strategic alignment across the bank’s operations.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Support internal communication and execution of marketing events
Coordinate and execute approved marketing projects across various banking units
Ensure compliance with procurement, risk, legal, and compliance procedures
Work with marketing agencies to develop and produce promotional materials (e.g., brochures, social media content, website copy)
Conduct market research to inform campaign strategies
Collaborate with other departments (sales, product development) for integrated marketing alignment
Support Marketing Managers in managing external suppliers to ensure quality delivery and brand integrity
Monitor timelines and ensure timely completion of projects and campaigns
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Minimum Qualifications:
First Degree in Journalism, Marketing, Communication, or Public Relations

Meeting Timescales
Experience:
Previous experience in marketing coordination, communication, or related roles is an added advantage
