Job Description

The Office Attendant will be responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and secure office environment. The role includes performing various support tasks to facilitate the smooth running of office operations and providing general assistance to staff as required.

The Office Attendant will be responsible to the Personal Secretary/Designated Officer for performing the following duties:


  1. Office Cleanliness and Maintenance

    • Ensure that the office space and office equipment are kept clean and well-maintained at all times.

    • Clean tea utensils and ensure proper sanitation of common areas.


  2. Tea Preparation and Service

    • Prepare and serve tea to staff members in line with the Ministry’s policies and guidelines.


  3. Mail and Correspondence Management

    • Receive, register, dispatch, and deliver official mail and other correspondences as per established protocols.


  4. Document Filing and Record Keeping

    • Organize and file office documents in an orderly manner to ensure easy access when needed.


  5. Office Security

    • Maintain the security of the office by managing the opening, closing, and safekeeping of office keys.


  6. Additional Duties

    • Carry out any other tasks that may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor to ensure efficient office operation.

Minimum Qualification:

  • Applicants should be Ugandans holding a Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) or its equivalent, with at least a pass in English Language.
