Job Description
The Office Assistant ensures a clean and organized office environment, manages kitchen and pantry areas, handles errands, and provides support for various office functions. The role also involves safeguarding children, adhering to ChildFund policies, maintaining stock and office supplies, and supporting administrative tasks such as photocopying and document preparation.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Maintain cleanliness and order inside and outside office premises daily.
Clean floors, windows, offices, verandahs, washrooms, and empty dustbins and wastepaper baskets.
Ensure office furniture and equipment are clean and well arranged.
Maintain kitchen cleanliness, prepare tea/coffee, and ensure kitchen stock is updated.
Report any losses, damages, or shortages of office/kitchen equipment and supplies.
Prepare and submit monthly requests and reports for essentials.
Safeguard valuables found during cleaning and maintain confidentiality of information.
Support administrative tasks such as photocopying and binding of documents.
Perform any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Remain alert to child safeguarding risks and adhere to ChildFund’s Child Safeguarding Policy.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Certificate in Customer Care (essential).
Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in a child-focused development organization.
Demonstrable teamwork attitude.
Effective communication skills in English.
Minimum “A” Level (U.A.C.E) with a Certificate in Catering and Hospitality Management.
Competencies include:
Teamwork, communication, results orientation, decision-making, resilience, and digital literacy.
